Situated just 30 minutes from Edinburgh, 40 minutes from Glasgow by car and within easy reach of the Scottish Borders, the cottage makes the perfect base for exploring. Yet, despite its proximity to these key tourist attractions, the accommodation enjoys a quiet, rural location in South Lanarkshire, close to Biggar and Lanark.

Holmlea was built as a weaver’s cottage in the 1840s and was entirely renovated in 2023. We’re proud of how warm and calming the space now is. Our aim has been to provide a stylish, timeless 5* hotel environment in a small, self-contained cottage. One UK king bedroom plus a proper double sofabed downstairs. Just a minute’s walk from our bustling town centre, Holmlea offers a peaceful, cozy welcome to the magnificent southern uplands. Perfect for a romantic getaway, or just a restful stopover.

Boutique Cottage, No. 59

A beautifully appointed two bedroom cottage, situated in the heart of popular and desirable Scotby village. Children and dogs welcome. The accommodation comprises entrance hall leading to the living room with original fireplace and electric fire, modern kitchen with integrated oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. To the first floor there is a feature stone wall leading to the bathroom and bedrooms. Sleeps up to five persons in two bedrooms (one king sized bed and one triple bunk bed).

Enjoy wonderful views of the Ennerdale fells, extending to Pillar and Steeple. The spacious, comfortable accommodation forms the main section of a larger semi-detached property. You will have the house to yourselves - we will be far away, but contactable should you have any questions or issues. It's self check-in and check-out. There are many good and varied walks nearby, as well as scenic drives and gastro pubs. You will need to bring groceries with you - breakfast is not supplied.

'Silverknowes Suite' is a small, newly renovated, light and airy ground floor studio with own front door, kitchenette and ensuite. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, within 5 minutes walk to bus routes to the city centre and 10 minutes to the airport bus stop. By car, the city can be reached in 15 minutes. There are beautiful nearby walks down to the Forth River front and beach. The suite is attached to our family home but the connecting door will be kept locked ensuring your privacy.

The Wee Trail House, Peebles & Glentress

The Wee Trail House is next-door to the main Trail House and was recently renovated to a high standard. The decor is warm, clean and relaxing throughout. A new kitchen was installed as well as a fresh modern bathroom. There are two bedrooms with king size zip and link beds which can be set up as double or twin rooms. The open plan kitchen, dining and living space is very sociable and the coffee table easily converts into a small or large dining table.

Kirkland Cottage

Kirkland Cottage is completely self-contained and is attached to our main house in an enclosed, secluded and large garden. Although only two miles from Dumfries Town Centre it is in a quiet, rural location. There is ample parking beside the cottage and a lockable room for storage of bicycles and other leisure equipment. The cottage provides a great base from which to enjoy the many cultural and outdoor activities available in the immediate locality.

Stay in an architecturally designed, unique Georgian mews house in Stockbridge. The Old Schoolhouse

A Victorian Schoolhouse, now a cozy and stylish home. The Old Schoolhouse has 3 bedrooms, shower room & en suite bathroom. Wood stove in the lounge, open fire in the kitchen, and central heating. Light, bright, with a large garden looking onto the fields beyond- snowdrops in the spring, cherries in summer, and apples in autumn. The occasional escapee hen wandering about. Perhaps the most ideal holiday cottage in the whole of the Scottish Borders. Situated in a perfect location with one foot close to the hustle and bustle of the heritage town of Hawick and the other with unbridled access to the beautiful Wilton Lodge Park. Entrance Lodge overlooks the Teviot river, with steps right outside the front door to the water's edge where little ones can go feed the ducks.
