Follow the M10 from Mangochi to Cape MacClear, and turn right at the turn-off the Cape MacClear at the Engergen Filling station on your left. Turn right on the gravel road into the village towards the Lake. Find our sign board 2 km from the turn off on the left, Gateway Transformation Center/Guesthouse.

Joe’s Annex Cottage

Joe’s Annex Cottage is cosy house with spacious rooms, a beautiful garden with camping space. There’s also a beautiful outside sitting area for those hot days with lots of local games available and a BBQ stand of course for the daily fresh catch of the famous tiger fish Kampanje. It is located on the village street of Cape Maclear, 20m from the lake with a private beach. Closer by is Kayak Africa and amenities just outside the compound.

Lake Malawi - Mbondo Cottage @Namaso Bay

Mbondo Cottage is located on one of the most tranquil bays along Lake Malawi’s western shores offering perfect sunrises. Wake up to birdsong and fishermen coming in with their catch in time for a lunch of Chambo (tilapia), take a walk along the beautiful beach. The shallow waters of the shoreline also offer some relaxing swimming. Catch a drink as the sun sets. Trips to Lake Malawi National Park and Cape Maclear can be arranged.

This self-catered beachfront cottage has 4 bedrooms, sleeping 8. Enjoy peaceful surroundings, beach views, and a relaxed vibe.
