1880s Miner’s Cottage in Moonta Mines – Heritage

Step back in time at this 1880s miner’s cottage in historic Moonta Mines. Built over 140 years ago and extended in the early 1900s by the man who built many Yorke Peninsula roads, it still features the dining room, kitchen and bathroom he added. Lovingly owned for 12+ years and renovated twice, the cottage blends original stone walls and low doorways with modern comforts, a cozy wood fire, a well-equipped indoor & outdoor kitchen, and a big backyard perfect for BBQs under the dark night stars.

A quaint and crooked Cornish cottage

This is a cottage we bought in October 2020. We had many holidays cancelled through COVID and decided instead to explore our own backyard. We arrived in Moonta, fell instantly in love with its history and beautiful beaches and on spec bought this little cottage with our hearts instead of our heads! We loved that it was situated within an old cornish mining village and that the beach was just 5 minutes drive away. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS, PILLOW CASES, TOWELS AND BATH MATS, THANK YOU.

Olive on Otago is a renovated rustic two bedroom shack in a premium location with beautiful ocean views. The front porch provides a place to dwell, relax and enjoy the beach vibe. If you feel like a dip in the ocean with the sand between your toes, walk across the road and take the plunge. Original floorboards, loads of character with beautiful textiles. A tasteful and quiet 4 br 2 br getaway for family and friends seeking a comfortable space to be within a 5 minute walk to Moonta Bay Jetty and Splashtown. The home is nestled in a cared for garden on a no through road featuring a picturesque outdoor covered entertainment area that is second to none. Moonta's town centre is a 5 minute drive away with so many cool things to do, places to see, and cafes to eat in. This is probably one of the best value for money places in the Copper Coast.
