The Studio Behind the House With The Yellow Door

“The Studio Behind the House With The Yellow Door” is a well-established AIRBNB in Castlemaine. It is a complete self-contained guest house; open plan lounge, kitchenette, separate bedroom, bathroom/toilet with shower. Stylishly designed and decorated. Light and airy, yet very private. We don't list "breakfast provided," but we do add bread and milk (gluten and dairy free if requested) and lots of other things to make a light breakfast. Your new hosts are Randall and Helen and Millie.

The Nissen

The Nissen is a spacious, light filled two bedroom holiday house overlooking the historic town of Castlemaine, aptly named for its resemblance to a World War II Nissen Hut. Situated in the foothills of Mt Alexander, Blue Devil Cottage is the quaint original Victorian farmhouse of Hillside Acres farm. It is an ideal place for both the energetic and those wishing for a more relaxing holiday. We welcome kids and can get them & you involved in collecting eggs or feeding animals (depending on availability). For mountain bikers, you can ride through our back paddocks directly onto La Larr Ba Gauwa Mountain bike park or it’s just 2km along the road to the trailhead.

Henry's Cottage

Redesdale is a wonderful little country town with everything you need at hand to make your stay comfortable and relaxed. A,cafe, a pub and a general store all in walking distance from the cottage. The cottage is lovely and light filled, charmingly decorated with modern conviniences. Beautiful views of the surrounding area and friendly locals to offer advice and great food if you choose to eat at their venues. This place is a gem and just a short drive from Melbourne.

Red Brick Barn overlooks Forest Creek and surrounding Goldfields heritage bushland. A walking track is at the door for a lovely walk to Wesley hill Saturday market or continue on to explore nearby Castlemaine with it's wonderful Architecture and vibrant café and arts culture. Red Brick Barn is an eclectic mix of European and Early Australian antiques, including French Industrial Furniture and Lighting, Turkish Kilims from Anatolia and rare "Depression" pieces.
