Take it easy here. This is simple living at it's best. Relax on the patio and listen to the birds. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life. No wi-fi (use your cell phone with local data), no TV. 500 steps to the lagoon. Safe, comfortable with all the home trimmings but rustic. Certainly not five star but by design. We have kept the original bricks and deliberately did not plaster them to keep the house rustic. Unsymmetrical paint too. 4 x 4 required for easy access to property from Bilene.

Casa da Lagoa - Chidenguele

The Villa has 3,000 square meters of living space and equal area of protected space. It is an environmentally friendly house that uses solar energy (90% of total energy consumption), set in a rural african environment, located 20 km from Chidenguele on a hill by the lake Nhambavale, surrounded by a garden with trees and a small vegetable organic garden. Experience the unrefined, culture-rich environment like never before. Situated on the Eastern side of Lagoa Uembje, Shongili Lodge is reached by an 8 minute boat ride over clear, clean waters from the Mozambique town of Biléne. Or for the adventurous drivers, an hour and a half scenic 4x4 or 2x4 drive from the same town. The lodge is run completely on solar power with water sourced from a well on the grounds, This may mean a little less appliances, but also an abundance of quiet reflection.

Sleeps 2 to 4 people: Open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. One bedroom equipped with a Double Bed. Shower, basin and toilet. 2 Single Beds in the lounge area. It is mostly a Sand\Beach Road. To get to the Resort it is important to Note that a Sedan or Low Ground Clearance Vehicle is not suitable. You would need an High Road Clearance Vehicle, SUV, Bakkie, 4X4 or 2X4.

Our one bedroom units comprise of a bedroom and. en-suite bathroom. Situated close to the lake, the views are breathtaking especially during sunset. The lodge restaurant and bar are 200m away with amazing food and cold beer, overlooking the vast Lake Nhambavale. A vehicle with high clearance is required to reach Nhambavale Lodge, 4x4 is preferable.
