Windsor House, recently restored by Genevieve and Peter, on the first floor of the building, is an exquisite 19th century apartment situated in the absolute heart of Kalk Bay village, overlooking the lively and historic Kalk Bay Harbour. With grand views across the azure sea of False Bay to the magnificent Hottentots Holland mountain range, Windsor House is a treat. We have just added a strong inverter and batteries to the establishment. This provides power back up during load shedding.

Our studio apartment opens up onto a 40sq meter balcony with a panoramic view of the Hout Bay Valley and the Helderberg mountains beyond. Large sliding doors disappear into the walls creating an unimpeded indoor/outdoor flow while the elevated position protects your privacy. The open plan bathroom faces onto an enclosed secret garden which includes a frame-less glass shower. The unit has a fully equipped kitchenette and is serviced daily except weekends and public holidays.

You’ll find this quiet, cosy, little garden cottage at the end of a locked, private lane, in the heart of Muizenberg’s historical village. It’s a short walk (6 min) to Surfer’s Corner - the bustling beachfront where you can surf or have surfing lessons and enjoy one of a number of excellent restaurants; And, literally just down our road, you’ll find Joon our favourite restaurant and coffee shop, and quirky stores. Kalk Bay is a small village clustered around a working harbour and close to 3 fabulous, white beaches and 3 world-class golf courses. It has narrow cobbled streets and small, independent shops selling clothing and homeware, coffee and ice cream. It's cheerful, colourful, and crammed with places to eat and drink really well, pretty inexpensively too. Walking paths take you up the mountain or to the tidal pools and beaches. Just Kalk Bay is a treat of a holiday!

Comfort, Style & Security next to the Beach

My comfortable, tastefully-decorated & well-equipped apartment is located in a beach-front building at Muizenberg's famous Surfer's Corner. The building has excellent security; including finger-print access control and 24-hour concierges at the front entrance. There is a free private parking bay in the basement. The WiFi router has a dedicated UPS - so the WiFi works even when the electricity is off. Please note that the apartment does not have a sea view.
