Hrafnabjörg 4 - Old-style Unique House

It is a unique character-house right in the middle of Icelandic nature with a spacious living area, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom and four bedrooms accommodating six to seven people. The rooms are all comfortably furnished and lovingly decorated with details that will let you delve into Icelandic culture and tradition. From every nook, you can experience a beautiful view over the hills and valleys of Eastern Iceland (the windows are a little old, but they will be modernized in the summer).

Steinholt is a recently renovated house built in 1907 & centrally-located in Seyðisfjörður. The apartment offers an entrance from the ground floor and the first floor from the big terrace, that can also be enjoyed during the stay. Well equipped kitchen & very cosy living room. Downstairs is a big bedroom with double bed and one/two single beds, upstairs is a sofa-bed. Bathroom with shower and washing machine. Spectacular mountain & fjord views. Old summer house with a soul in one of the most beautiful places in the country. The house is located 35 km from Höfn in the summer house area of Stafafell mountains. The area offers many beautiful hiking trails through the unique mountains with jaw-dropping landscapes and is perfect to use as base camp and while hiking the area for few days. Sænautasel gives you a opportunity to experience living as people did in the olden days in Iceland. You should therefore be aware that there is no electricity. Everybody is sleeping in “Baðstofan”, which the space over the kitchen is called in Icelandic. Breakfast and/or Dinner is available for extra charge. You need to book this in advance at least 2 days prior. If you decide to book 2 nights you should be aware that Sænautasel functions as a guided museum from 12-17 PM.

Óbót is a small cabin (13.5 square meters) and has accommodations just outside Egilsstaðir and has a great riverside view. The cabin has two single beds, private bathroom and free WiFi. The facilities are extremely suitable for two people. A variety of hiking trails are nearby and guests are allowed to go fishing for free in the river called Rangá. The nearest airport is Egilsstaðir Airport, 8 km from the cabin location.

The cottage is on a small and quiet family run farm, 8 km to the town Egilsstaðir. These small houses are cozy and heated with geothermal energy, the cottages can be booked all year around. We provide linen, towels, tea and Coffee for no extra charge. The surrounding area consists of a river, trees, northern lights, beautiful nature and during the winter time you might even see some reindeers wandering around.
