Our house is located just 3 km from town on a quiet road with private entrance and free parking. We are a 9 minute drive from both the centre of Killarney town and the National Park. Nearby sightseeing locations include Torc Waterfall, Muckross House and Abbey, Ladies View ,Ross Castle and The Gap of Dunloe. Please read the information below carefully so there is no confusion ! We have two double bedrooms that are a Jack and Jill setup, so the bathroom is in the middle and is shared by both bedrooms. You will be sharing.! ! ! Last shower 9pm. First shower 7.30am This helps to keep noise down. Breakfast 8- 9am Each suitable for two person only. 1 minute from Charles Fort. 3 km from town 7 minutes to Kinsale. by 🚗 car 30 minute walk. Don't complain about location. Now you know where we are.!!!

Restored 200 Year Old Church

Bookeen Hall is a 200 year old restored church about 20 mins from Galway City and within easy reach of the Cliffs of Moher, The Burren and Connemara. We are a short drive from Lignum (restaurant). We offer a private room (with 1 king size bed and 1 single bed) with a private bathroom. For larger groups there is a second room (with 1 king size bed), so we can accommodate up to 5. The nearest train station is 8 miles away in Athenry. We live here with our dogs and look forward to meeting you!

Guests are also welcome to explore the large Victorian walled garden to the rear of the house as well as the water gardens. We are conveniently located to explore fabulous beaches, the Barrow and Nore river valleys, golf courses,horse riding stables and the towns of Wexford, Kilkenny and Waterford.

We are situated in a quiet and secluded private compound minutes from Killarney National Park, Conference and Concert Centre, which also offers family-friendly activities. Pubs and Restaurants are also within easy reach. Our rooms are large and ensuite, we offer unlimited free wifi and free secure car parking. Bus and train stations are also only 10-12 minute walk. Bike rentals, which is the easiest way of exploring the lakes and parks, are situated 5 minutes walk from house.

The Shed

A 15 / 20 minute drive from Killarney on route to the famous Ring of Kerry in the middle of the Reeks District voted in the top 5 destinations to visit in the Rough Guide. 7 minutes to Killorglin the home of Puck Fair the oldest festival in Ireland. This cottage is set at the foot of the McGillycuddy Reeks with a view of Carrantuohill. Perfect for hiking, walking and cycling... The space sleeps 2 people. The heating is electric. The stove in not in use for burning fuel ....

Chez Shea Gypsy Wagon-

The wagon is a good place to escape to. Lie in bed in the morning, read your book, hear the birds sing, see the sun peeking over the mountain. On a fine evening, you can light a fire. You might see a fox, you might see a deer or a hare. One time I saw a red squirrel playing in the Oak tree. Bring your sketch pad, your journal, your knitting. This is a place to rest and recuperate. It’s also a good stop off for people walking the Beara Way.
