Half a block away is Eastern Market, an historic indoor food market open 6 days a week. On the weekends it expands with outdoor farm stands and vendors selling crafts and other goods. The Carriage House is a short 6-8 minute walk to the Eastern Market metro station (orange, blue, and silver lines).
