The Cottage

Unplug in this peaceful little getaway. Nestled in the backyard of our little hobby farm near the Wood River, you will be able to visit our alpacas, goat, or honey bees. Sit and relax on the porch, or stroll through the pasture or neighborhood. In many ways, the cottage resembles a tiny house with a small bathroom & shower, kitchen sink, microwave, induction hot plate, coffee maker, plates, glasses & utensils. Many of the restaurants & shopping amenities are located on the north end of Kearney.

A river runs by it!

Welcome to…The River. If you’re looking for solitude, masses of birds and a cool dip in a river, then this Loup River cabin and acreage may be just the ticket. Located in farmland but not far from the village of Dannebrog, where you’ll find great pizza and fresh baked goods. There is also a fine grocery store with all the essentials. If you need a bit of retail therapy, Grand Island is only 20 minutes away. There you will find most everything including the Crane Trust, a crane sanctuary.

Merritt Dam Road Hill House

Perched high above Merritt Reservoir and the Snake River, the Merritt Dam Road Hill House offers breathtaking views of Nebraska’s scenic Sandhills. Looking for a place just outside of Lincoln to unplug and relax? This cabin sits nestled on 80 acres overlooking a little lake with fishing, boating and kayaking available. Watch the prettiest sunrises and sunsets on the patio or from inside through the abundant windows. There is a full kitchen, a living room with a smart TV, strong WiFi, updated bathroom, 3 sets of bunkbeds and a queen-sized bed. Perfect for a girl's trip, guy's fishing retreat, Husker football game weekend and so much more!

Rustic Cabin Retreat

Quiet, secluded area has occasional wildlife (turkey, deer). The Turkey Creek runs behind the cabin, and there is a very small pond in the front of the cabin that can be fished. There's a kid's "fort" to the west of the main cabin for the kids to enjoy! The fort has a space heater, a loft with a futon, and a smart TV (no TV service) that can be used for streaming if you want to use your phone’s hotspot.. The cabin has no TV service or internet service.....thus the beauty of this retreat!!

The warm and the cozy, Cedar Inn.

Cozy up in the Cedar Inn. Cedar Inn was completely remodeled in 2022, with high ceilings, custom hand made doors and furniture, new bathroom/shower and updated flooring. Cedar Inn is the perfect place when visiting family or friends in Hay Springs, or hunters along the way. Cedar Inn is located directly across Lister Stage, making it the perfect location for walking to Main Street or schooling events. Cedar Inn has two bedrooms, living room, Dinning room, large kitchen, and utility basement.

Rafter Lazy P Cabin

If you are looking for a place to relax & unwind, while staying in a piece of history (WW 2 barracks), this is the perfect location! This is a complete home. The calm, peaceful, rural atmosphere is near the North Platte River, yet close to many attractions & amenities. We have a (friendly) neighbor free range Lab dog. To help safeguard our guests, after our customary deep clean between guests, we sanitize anything you might touch, including remotes, light switches, doorknobs, and more.

Cedar Creek Cabin

Outdoor enthusiasts, friends, and families, we invite you to enjoy your next Sandhills trip with a stay at the Cedar Creek Cabin. Our two bedroom, one bath, cabin sleeps eight. Located on a large lot to accommodate outdoor activities, including a fire pit. The park, Nebraska's Big Rodeo, and the town square (where there several dining options) are all within walking distance. The area's main attraction Calamus Reservoir is a short 7 mile drive, offering fun for the entire family.

Private Country Cabin for 2 on 25 acres

Reconnect with nature at this peaceful escape for up to 2 guest! The perfect place to disconnect and relax. You are partly "in the woods," but also walking distance from the main house. Our property is 25 acres with walking trails, a private 5 acre lake w/ paddle boats and kayaks for your use, and beautiful sitting areas throughout, including along the Platte River. If you want the great outdoors of camping without any of the roughing it, this is your place! Come Experience Rest!

The Pepper Shed

Welcome to "The Pepper Shed" named after our black lab. This is a unique utility shed with built-in living quarters located next to our family home located along the Cedar River. Beds are located in open loft upstairs and bathroom is located on the ground level. While staying, feel free to make yourself at home with private access to a patio, dog kennel, walk out balcony with full accommodations of Wi-Fi, TV with Roku, washer and dryer, outdoor grill and full kitchen.

Cozy Cabin on the River

This cozy cabin is located 5 minutes from downtown Kearney. It sits on the Platte River with an incredible view of the Nebraska sunrises and sunsets. It has a nice fishing lake stocked with bass, crappie, blue gill and catfish. The fishing lake is directly outside the cabin. This cabin is furnished with leather furniture, cable tv, a queen size bed, a double size bed and A/C.
