A New Forest cottage that is ideal for couples, small families, or nature-loving friends . The cottage is located on the edge of open forest and within easy walking distance of Brockenhurst village centre with its many country pubs and award winning restaurants. The cottage is fully equipped. Guests can also enjoy the garden to dine outdoors, and perhaps spot deer in the field behind. Dating from the 16th century, Stable Cottage adjoins the rest of the property but has its own front door and is a completely private and self contained space. Downstairs has an entrance hall, sitting room, with original beams and kitchen; upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, one double and one single, bathroom and separate shower room. A warm welcome to our riverside cottage, a two bedroom quiet retreat located in the New Forest national park with lovely walks and cycle paths to see the ponies and other wildlife. It’s only a 20 min drive to the medieval city of Salisbury and 30-40 min drive to the sandy beaches of the South Coast. We have a friendly local village shop and pub within walking distance, and a fabulous ‘water-hole’ for swimming a few mins walk down the lane.
