Tamarack Lake - Large Lake House

Large lake house great for family reunions, couples retreats, scrapbookers, etc. on Tamarack Lake in Lakeview, MI, an hour north of Grand Rapids. The house was built by the Kelsey family in the 1930s after seeing the house featured in the 1933 Chicago World's Fair and has been completely renovated. Views of the lake from almost every room. Built in 2023. Our A-Frame style home is located on thirty acres of maple, oak, pine & sassafras rising out of a blanket of ferns set in the Manistee National Forest. Over a mile of well maintained hiking trail winds through the woods. This peaceful setting is only a 20-minute drive to downtown Ludington & Lake Michigan. Hosting adults only, no children or pets permitted inside the A, which is designed by a couple to create a perpetually quiet and relaxing place for other couples and ourselves.

Take a step back in time and enjoy this unique and tranquil getaway. Red Pine Cabin is secluded and set back 3 acres along the drive. Although there isn't much room to roam on the property itself, there is access to the Pere Marquette Rail Trail only a short drive North.
