Built with timber off the property, restored to a tranquil oasis. The cottage has cathedral ceilings and is spacious, wake up in the morning to the sunrise and the spectacular view over Bruny. Close to restaurants and vineyards of the area including Peppermint Bay Hotel, Mewstone Winery Grandview cheese Only 12 minutes to Cygnet village and 45 to Hobart.

Here at Great Bay Hideaway relax in this peaceful setting whilst planning your Bruny Island adventures. Only a stones throw from Get Shucked Oysters and the Bruny Island Cheese Company and a brisk walk to the beautiful Great Bay beach. Enjoy a bath or laze by the fire after a BBQ on the deck overlooking the coastline with Mt Wellington in the background. We want to offer visitors to Hobart a unique & luxurious accommodation experience, which connects modern design with its rugged, bush environment. Located in West Hobart, we are a short 8 minute drive to the Salamanca water front. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.
