Cabin on Swede Hill

Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. We invite you to come...... and experience country life.

The Nest

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish two bedroom, one bathroom unit. The renovated space includes a large living room, dining area, bright kitchen with new appliances, walk-in glass shower, spacious bedrooms, and a front porch perfect for morning coffee! Take a short walk into town and visit the family owned bakery for breakfast or some of their famous treats! Modern house in the country with a reputation for sparkling cleanliness and 2 day minimums between guest stays. Close to Culver Academies (18 min/10 mi), Lake Maxinkuckee (13 min/7.4 mi), Lake Manitou (27 min/16 mi), and the historic Tippecanoe River (5 min/3.5 mi to Germany Bridge or 5 min/1.6 mi to Aubbeenaubbee Landing in Leiters Ford). We keep our prices low for 2 people, so please note that while we have space for up to 6 guests, each additional guest will incur small additional charges.

I have to warn you definitely not a hook up spot or party house!!! typically rise with rooster on this 5 acre country setting with a small fishing pond. 420 friendly .. Quiet hours are 11 -8 generally some music playing, musicians are welcome !! if you happen to book on a Sunday i host an Open Mic in my Barn every Sunday ..... pretty relaxed. Upon arriving, turn into the driveway, and then right into the yard. Apartment is upstairs, the door is open with the keys inside. ✌️

A Vacation Country Home

This is a country home in a country setting. It sits on just over an acre of ground. Beautiful open view from the back 3 seasons setting room. Circular drive with newer interior. Very private and peaceful setting! Master bedroom with queen size bed and private bathroom with jet tub. The other two bedrooms have queen size bed as well. Recently added a game room with a pool table and ping pong for family fun. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay!
