Natural lighting fills every room. The construction of this home was designed with special attention to every detail. The sinks are made from beautiful copper, all of the cabinets were made by a local furniture maker with beautiful native woods. There are so many cozy places throughout the home to lounge and rest and simply enjoy the incredible jungle views. From inside the home to out on the lanais (Hawaiian for balcony), you can rest comfortably. Do you need a soak in an over-sized jacuzzi tub with jets? If so, we have you covered. Enjoy your own personal spa experience in the master suite, which also has a walk-in shower, double sinks, and vanity area. Are you interested in exploring the abundance of local produce and fresh meats that Hawaii island has to offer? If so, we have all that you need in the kitchen to prepare local style feasts at home. You are also right in Hilo town and have easy access to some of the island's best restaurants. Both bedrooms have king sized foam mattresses with extra blankets and pillows. In the upstairs master suite, there is a little space for your computer or journaling or art or whatever you like. You also have an incredible private lanai from the master suite. The views from up here might just entice you to never leave. If you are down for a rugged little jungle hike, you can swim in the beautiful fresh water spring and get up close to the year-round waterfall. There is a palm tree-lined trail right from our property that will take you down there. You have complete access to the home, property, and beautiful - swimmable waterfall. Located in the Reed's Island neighborhood and surrounded on both sides by rivers, streams, and waterfalls—walk through the area and admire the historic homes. Hilo town and beaches are nearby, and the Volcano National Park is 30 minutes away. Hilo and East Hawaii is the perfect choice if you want to an authentic Hawaiian experience. You might also explore the world's most advanced telescopes on Mauna Kea and our gorgeous local brackish water black sand beaches. You will want a car to access the local destinations. Walking from the house is quite enjoyable, but more ideal for sight seeing. Please be advised that the yard is still a work in progress and is therefore a bit rugged to get around. Also, as our guest, you must accept 100% responsibility of your person and your possessions and release all liabilities from the homeowner.

You can truly see the impact our Vogue interior designer has had on this villa. It certainly has the WOW factor and most of our guests take photos of our decor for inspiration, still the space is very livable and unpretentious. The villa is actually set at the founding point of Ubud and many speak of the amazing energy and peace they experience here; but whether you regard yourself as spiritual or not, you are sure to come away from Indah Shambala reinvigorated by the experience. We often hear our guests talk of being conflicted in that as much as they want to go on tours and spend time looking about Ubud, they are equally enticed to just spend all their days lazing at home: it really is that great a space. If you do choose to spend more time at home we can bring Ubud to you by providing in house massages, in home meals and a number of other services. Simply talk to our staff and they will do their best to cater to your every need.. Guests will have access to the entire villa with the exception of the staff room at the rear of the property. Myself and the Indah Shambala team are present as little or as much as you need them. The staff come in daily to make your breakfasts and service your rooms and will stay as long as you have need of them... If you require even more privacy just let them know and they discreetly slip away. Your wish is their command.. The house is located in an exclusive Ubud precinct on Ubud's Royal Road. A supermarket and many restaurants, spas, shops, and cafes are in the immediate vicinity. Ubud Palace is in walking distance. The villa affords a leisurely stroll into town, but also offers you the service of our own wonderful driver, Nyoman, who will give you the best pricing on day trips and tours. There are also drivers permanently located at Bintang Supermarket, which is just outside the front gate, who can help you with all your last minute travel arrangements If you are an early bird or even if you are not, it is really worth making the effort to get out of bed and experience at least one sunrise from the villa. Fairlight Maison

Beautifully decorated and is equipped with everything you'd need for a home away from home stay. There are two bedrooms with queen size beds. Separate living room with a cosy fireplace and dinning room for 6 people. A charming study with a small daybed, a desk and printer. Well equipped kitchen good enough for any chefs. Sunny balcony off the master bedroom to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. A plunge pool with sunbed in the rear courtyard garden for soaking up the sun or alfresco entertaining & relaxation. We provide luxurious bedding linen, Egyptian Cotton bath towels, high end bathroom amenities including a hairdryer. Unfortunately we do not provide beach towels and we don't have a BBQ. There is a Nespresso Coffee machine in the kitchen and we provide a few coffee pods to get you started but you will have to purchase the additional pods at our local supermarket, Coles. Instant coffee and a small selection of tea are there for you to use of course. Guests will have access to the entire house by themselves. Guests will have full privacy. The house is conveniently located within a 10-20 minute walk of the famous Manly Beach precinct, home to a multitude of trendy cafes, restaurants, and boutiques. In addition, there's easy access to outdoor activities, such as bushwalking and surfing. If you don't want to do the 10-20mins walk to Manly, there is a local free bus shuttle (Hop Skip & Jump Bus) that takes you to directly to Manly Beach and Manly ferry. The bus stops right across the street in front of the house and comes around every 30mins. To go into the city there is also a public bus stop just around the corner but we suggest you take the scenic ferry ride across the Harbour into Sydney and you'll be in the heart of Sydney's tourist attractions. If you have a car you can park on the street in front of the house. There is always plenty of parking available. Fairlight La Maison is a terrace house on 3 levels so there are steep narrow stairs which might not be suitable for young children not used to stairs and elderly people. We have a gas fireplace. There is a Nespresso machine but only a sample of pods will be provided to get you started. If you would like use the Nespresso Coffee machine then you will need to buy extra coffee pods at the local supermarket. We don't have a BBQ. You will also need to bring your own beach towels as we do not provide beach towels at the house. We don't own a cat but our neighbours do. Nero is the black cat and Oscar is the grey marble cat. They are super friendly cats and often wander into the house if the doors and windows are left open. If you are allergic to cats we suggest you don't allow them in the house.
