Feel like you are in the trees, in an area much as it was when inhabited by Cherokee Indians. Stream feeds into Lake Hartwell. In the summer months on the weekends and holidays kayaks, jet skis and small boats visit the falls. This property is in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Recently remodeled and boasting 3000 sq ft, this home offers comfort and serenity. Tucked away in a peaceful cove feeding into Lake Keowee, it’s the perfect escape for nature lovers-especially kayakers. The property comes fully equipped with kayaks and paddle boards. Please note: Access to the dock involves a very steep descent, and the return hike can be challenging—best suited for active guests. Unwind in the private hot tub on the deck or gather around the cozy fire pit.

Right among the pines of South Carolina you will find our cottage. It's 5 minutes from the Historic Ram Cat Alley with Live Outdoor music every Thursday Night (Apr.-Oct.), Shopping, Boutiques, Restaurants, Breweries, and Coffee Shops. It's only 12 minutes from Clemson University, and a short drive to Lake Keowee, Lake Jocassee, and Lake Hartwell. This area is home to numerous Waterfalls, Hiking Trails, and good southern barbecue. We do not host work crews.

The Cottage

Relax, recharge, and enjoy the quiet. Unwind on the front porch as the sun sets and nature comes alive with the peaceful sounds of evening. Spend time by the pond and cast a line for a simple, relaxing escape (fishing poles not provided). Private and serene, yet just 5 minutes to Walmart and Oconee Memorial Hospital—and only 13 miles to Clemson. The perfect blend of tranquility and convenience. Minimum age to book is 25 years of age.

As you enter the screened in front porch you will instantly relax, experience a peaceful and quiet tree lined front yard. The house has plenty of shade and old oaks, built in 1935 has the charm of visiting great grandmother’s farm house without the wallpaper. Large side deck with grill, hot tub and plenty of shaded sitting. Side yard has a fire pit for evening campfires and roasting marshmallows. The house has an open floor plan.

Relax in this calm, stylish space. Enjoy the wooded drive and path to the entry to see inside, where the space opens up to the forested mountain view. The homes' crisp details are warmed with wood textures and a comfortable material palette complimented by curated furniture and decor. A 5 mile drive gets you to the shops and restaurants of Main Street Highlands, NC (1 mile gravel Turtle Pond Rd and 4 miles on Highway 106).
