Welcome to The Stable - a serene solo respite, artist’s retreat or unique getaway for 1 to 6 registered guests. Close to I-85 & I-40, Duke, NCCU and the downtown Durham scene. Quaint & artsy Hillsborough, funky & fun Chapel Hill/UNC and Carrboro are a short drive. Eno River State Park, hiking & biking trails, and the Mountains to Sea Trail are 2.5 miles away. Full of unexpected details, including an outside labyrinth, The Stable is a comfortable sanctuary for all who want to settle in and smile.

Timberwood Tiny Home

Timberwood Tiny Home is a place to rest your head & heart in Efland, North Carolina. The peaceful retreat is down a country road approximately 10-minutes from downtown Hillsborough. The 200 square foot tiny home is on a private corner of 8-acres shared with our main house. It features Scandinavian-style details, two beds, a spacious porch, abundant natural light, a wood-fired hot tub, barrel sauna, cold plunge, and more. There are features of the home that may make it unsuitable for children.

The Store in Hobo: a dog friendly reader/writer’s retreat in a renovated general store. Formerly “Paul’s Grocery” from 1943-73, the Store is on the Bellevue Mill Circle hilltop, an eclectic neighborhood bordering historic downtown Hillsborough. This is a shabby-chic art-studio cabin. It has a stunning walk-in shower w/ an under-water mural mosaic. There are mosaic doors & windows throughout the space. This space shares a common wall with my mosaic art studio. There are 2- sweet Aussie shepherds and 2- domestic cats on the property. Guests are welcome to eat meals on the back deck or beautiful gardens. There is a private shower, sink & composting toilet in cabin. New kitchenette recently added. Would like a long-term day-shift renter.

Large shower w/ rain shower head. Dresser & Garment rack in a light filled space w/ vaulted ceilings with a private screen porch. WiFi and free cable tv. 5-10 min walk to restaurants, shops, hiking paths, and weekly farmer's market. Free bus line CW picks up in front of the house making UNC and downtown Chapel Hill within mins.

The Chapel Hill Forest House

Book this incredible tiny house for the perfect romantic getaway in the heart of Chapel Hill! It sits in a private forest full of wildlife but is only a 5-minute walk to Franklin Street and the UNC campus. Enjoy amazing views from the floor-to-ceiling windows of foxes and deer playing on the lawn. Lounge on the wall-to-wall hammock as you gaze at the trees through the skylights. Unwind with a movie in bed played on our massive projector. There's nothing like this anywhere in the Triangle!

Come enjoy this incredible cozy cabin and the privacy that it offers with mostly the sound of wind and rustling leaves! Enjoy total comfort in this smaller space for a memorable night away from home! The tiny house has a Luxury queen, gel memory foam mattress and a Lovesac sofa (converts to twin bed) because we know comfort is key! The house is located on our mini-ranch and you’ll enjoy seeing our pony Buster and our goats Goon, Snick and Flip in the nearby pastures!
