'The Duke' Western Space on the River

'The Duke' is a John Wayne inspired western themed space perfect for a quiet getaway to Ruidoso and located on the main road into town. This is the downstairs to our primary home that we have converted to 'The Duke' with John Wayne western décor, comfortable living room with mini fridge, microwave and coffee. Don't forget to peek into the kid friendly 'cupboard under the stairs' Harry Potter inspired closet. Relax each day on the 6' by 40' covered deck listening to the Rio Ruidoso river below

Very close distance to White Sands National Monument, 30 minutes from Ruidoso, and 35 Mins from Cloudcroft, NM. If you like to play the tables, you can visit the Inn of the Mountain Gods, or enjoy Ski Apache.

BY THE GRACE OF GOD (& maybe a bit of my sheer grit) this little lady is standing post 2024 arson fires/floods…She is still & will continue to be a pristine cozy cottage on the Rio Ruidoso that offers an historic Upper Canyon stay. To be clear the neighborhood does show remnants of its former self but in no time will be stunning again…Further I want to thank all my former & recent guests for the outpouring of love & support through this most surreal time…awesomely good people in this world!

Our Happy Place is centrally located in Paradise Canyon. 5 min to downtown shops, Golf courses, hiking trails at Cedar Creek. Casinos, Grindstone Lake and Alto Lake with Fishing / Kayaking are a 10 minute drive. The cabin is located away from the street. 2 parking spaces available. Cabin is 2 levels with 2 steps from the mudroom to the living room, grab handles provided. The back deck in overlooks the tranquil creek that runs behind the cabin. Wi-Fi, TV, and a Propane Grill are provided.
