Come and stay in our peaceful studio cottage high up on Helderberg Mountain surrounded by trees and hear the owls hooting as you fall asleep! Beautiful new cottage, with it's own deck and garden and stylishly furnished to meet your every need. And now with solar installed (April 2023) we have NO LOAD-SHEDDING! We've replaced the oven and hob with a fully gas stove so all appliances can be used during load shedding!

In McGregor, this is a new construction concept: a hybrid of conventional build which clads a re-purposed shipping container. The two-bedroomed house has a spacious, north facing patio with a built-in braai and splash pool, set in a waterwise garden. The cottage comfortably sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms (one with a double bunk) and has 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom.

Rietdakkie Cottage is a beautiful rustic cob house ten minutes walking distance from the center of the village. For an additional fee, we offer home cooked meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner upon request. Whenever possible we use freshly picked organic vegetables from our garden. We also bake our own bread and make our own yoghurt.
