There are two barbeque (braai ) areas, indoors and outdoors on the seaview deck. The Saltpan is fed only by rainfall and run-off from the mountains and in years when there has been low rainfall the pan often dries out.

Designed by architect Rod Lloyd, seaside Xairu offers self-catering accommodation for six, with stunning views from every room. The house is named for the original Khoisan word for this region, meaning ‘place of paradise.’ Enjoy spectacular sunsets and vistas all the way to Cape Point from the decks. Xairu is close to shark diving, Cape winelands and excellent hiking. This architectural gem is equipped with quality linens and complete kitchen. Xairu is good for couples and families.

The 3 bedroomed house contains a lounge, fully equipped kitchen, dining room and two full bathrooms, (one ensuite).
