Spectacular Mountain Retreat

Cottage is the guest house of our country home. Situated on a mountain with spectacular views of the Blue Ridge and access to many hiking trails; biking; fishing and swimming in private pond only steps from the door. Cottage is located within easy driving distance of multiple wineries, Sky Line Drive and Shenandoah National Park; Montpelier; and restaurants and shops. We can accommodate no more than one dog, with prior permission. In April 2023, we again upgraded our internet (see below).

Savor the mountain scenery at this tranquil escape on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. The large covered deck is the perfect place to sip your coffee or watch the wildlife. The stars are amazing! Bring your canoes & kayaks & access the river from the common area. Luray Caverns is a popular attraction just 10 minutes away, & miles of hiking trails and waterfalls await 15 minutes away in the Shenandoah National Forest. Skyline Drive astounds with valley views is also just 15 minutes away.

Located in a peaceful, tree-lined neighborhood minutes away from a cute country town with famous Murray’s fly fishing shop! Enjoy an indoor playhouse, foosball, tree swing, grill, fire pit, and electric fireplaces for extra coziness. Reliable cell service (uncommon in the area!). Warm, tastefully decorated—perfect for making memories year-round!

Rivergreen Cottage with Direct River Access!

NOW SOLAR POWERED! Leave the complexities of modern life at home and enjoy the simplicity that our off the grid Rivergreen Cottage has to offer. Rivergreen is the perfect getaway for those who like camping, but wish for a more luxurious, comfortable place to stay. Water is provided from the new onsite well. Wi-fi and local channels. This cabin is now SOLAR powered with a fully automated (touch free) standby generator as back-up. Note-electric vehicles cannot be charged at this property!
