The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

The Shelter

With wooden interior and carpeted floors with free standing fireplace, our accomodation is both spacious yet cosy. The master bedroom has a cabin feel to it with a comfy bed and views out onto farmland. The Loft is a spacious cosy area with low ceilings which the teenagers will love but tall people may not enjoy it as it's only about 1.75 cm at the highest point . large couches for watching netflix or relaxing on the deck. we are not set up for young children and think it's best suited to 8+ age

Mountain Lake Lodge

Our self contained apartment offers unique semi rural accommodation with amazing mountain views suited for tourists & travelers to enjoy all our region offers. Relax in the living area with comfortable lounging, dining table with full kitchen incl. dishwasher. Indulge yourself in a luxury queen size bed. A second bedroom offers a king single. A sofa bed is available if needed. A continental breakfast is provided. Cooked breakfast available weekends $15 per person. Laundry $10 wash & dry

River Belle Glamping

River Belle is set on a working farm only 10 minutes away from the city of New Plymouth. A secluded Glamping site set on 160 acres next to Mangaoraka river. A geodesic dome luxuriously fitted out, is accompanied by a amenities hut, providing a charming kitchen and separate bathroom. The hut has an outdoor bath with view of Mt Taranaki. Cosy guest sleep out with sauna on dairy farm

* No cleaning fees :) * Relax and unwind on our small peaceful farm guest sleep out. One bedroom one bathroom sleep out with kitchenette. One king size bed and a pull out sofa bed. Would suggest this for children only for the limited room. Can provide a travel cot for infants if organised in advance. 10 mins drive away from Kai Iwi beach and a 20-25mins drive to Whanganui. We are situated on the main highway but far enough to not hear traffic. Great location for kids to run around.

Our home is a 3 bedroom modern stand alone house with internal garaging the 1st room has a single and room for extra mattresses ,2nd room a king bed and 3rd room is a sunny conservatory with a queen bed.The house is 13 years old and is insulated and has double glazed windows very warm.
