The Violet Suite at The Dowager Countess

The Violet Suite at The Dowager Countess is a fully renovated, 544 sq. ft. 2nd-floor apartment in an 1870's mansard Victorian home. Comes with one off-street parking space. Located on the north corner of the Salem Common, the Suite is easy walking distance to Salem Witch Museum, the PEM, House of The Seven Gables, sailing on Schooner Fame from Pickering Wharf, the Witch Trials Memorial, the Witch House, shops, and restaurants, Salem Ferry, and the MBTA Train station.

Beautiful very spacious historical house in Salem

The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place. A few minutes walk to a multitude of great restaurants, shops, galleries, the witch house, ghost and witch tours, trolley tours, Salem ferry, Pickering wharf, Salem witch museum, witch dungeon museum and a few minutes drive to Salem Willows and the house of the seven gables. All three bedrooms that are on the second floor will have AC units from mid June till September.

Exactly one mile from downtown with off street parking, staying here allows being away from the craziness of the city center while intimately experiencing Salem by staying in a historic colonial home.

Nothing Fancy Downtown - Unit 8

There is no free parking at the property or in the neighborhood. Please see "other details to note" below for parking info. This is a simple, spartan space with just the basic ammenities. The space is small, but there is a sitting area with two wooden chairs and a table that is a real lobster trap! The bathroom is small with a stand up shower, toilet and sink.
