As you watch me cook, I’ll share culinary techniques and stories from my time on Cake Boss and other Food Network and TLC shows. • Enjoy appetizers and a welcome cocktail (including nonalcoholic options) while I explain my ingredient choices, techniques, and seasonal menu considerations. • For the main course, I’ll demonstrate essential techniques like steak searing or knife skills (ever seen a chef julienne?), before serving you a beautifully plated entrée that is restaurant-perfect. • Finally, dessert—my specialty. I’ll heat things up with a show-stopping moment, like a bubble or a flame, for some interactive kitchen magic. Cheesesteak tour with the man who's eaten a thousand

What do you do when you visit Philadelphia? You eat cheesesteaks, of course. I’ve reviewed more than 1,200 cheesesteaks for my YouTube channel, and I’d like to take you to a few iconic shops in Philly’s Italian Market neighborhood. • We’ll begin with a cheesesteak at Pat’s King of Steaks, where I’ll share a little bit about my project and the history of this sandwich in Philadelphia. (Cheesesteaks are included in the cost; drinks and sides are extra.) • Next, we’ll walk across the street to Geno’s Steaks, where we’ll do a taste test, comparing the two rivals’ versions we’ve just tried. • Then we’ll take a short walk to Jaxx Taproom, a newer spot that takes a more artisanal approach to the cheesesteak. We’ll sit down for this third course, and compare the classics to the contemporary version. I’ll send you on your way with suggestions for other top cheesesteak shops you should visit while you’re in town.

Artisan Sourdough Bread Workshop

After arrival and introductions, we'll start the process by showing you how to properly slash your dough and get it into the oven. this will allow our first loaves to bake and cool in time for sampling, because who wants to attend a sourdough class and not get to eat any of it? :) Next, we'll begin the process of mixing ingredients, going over the recipe and process. during the periods when the dough will be resting ill conduct a demonstration for a fun live cultured beverage, you can make at home or simply enjoy it during the baking class. Since there is so much time involved in producing a loaf, I'll be moving along with the steps as quickly as we can and spending most of the time between processes answering questions and explaining the why behind the techniques. classes typically last between 3-4 hours so light refreshments will be served throughout the class. You will leave class with, starter, instruction printout, a loaf of bread to bake the next and a bread proofing basket. Other things to note Let me know if you have any food allergies.

You'll receive comprehensive notes, enabling you to replicate these culinary delights at home. In the mansion's elegant dining room, we'll enjoy our creations and engage in a lively discussion on wonton culture, wine, and the mansion's history and art. This is more than a cooking class; it's a cultural experience tailored to your interests. Please contact me to arrange a personalized class at your preferred time. Inform me of any dietary needs. Wonton wrappers contain wheat gluten, and traditional fillings include pork and shrimp, but we can accommodate requests.

Grape Harvest & Stomp Wine Barge Tour

This is a hands-on experience where guests will have the opportunity to learn the basics of winemaking from an experienced hobby winemaker beginning with the grapes in the vineyard and ending on the unique FLX Wine Barge. Guests will be greeted by Kathy at Fulkerson Winery where she will lead them to an appropriate vineyard tract, explain about the variety of grapes to be harvested, provide gloves, grape harvesting forks and buckets and set each guest up to pick about 10 pounds of wine grapes each. Once harvesting is complete, the group will return to the winery and, while Kathy settles up for the grapes, guests will be free to do a wine tasting of Fulkerson’s wines with special attention to any wines that were made with the variety of grape just harvested. Next, in their own vehicles, participants will follow Kathy to her place on nearby Lamoka Lake, where they will board the docked FLX Wine Barge to enjoy a boxed lunch. During this time, Kathy will provide an Introduction to Winemaking: From Grape to Glass. Participants will learn how to measure sugar content in grapes using a refractometer and understand how the sugar is converted to alcohol by yeast to make wine. Next, guests will manually destem their grapes and then crush them in the traditional way. Once the grapes have been converted to “must,” we will share a celebratory toast in a Wine Barge souvenir glass. Other things to note This will be a hands-on activity, mostly outdoors. While not strenuous, there will be some walking and bending. Participants will be standing while they destem grapes but will be seated on the Wine Barge.

You have hands-on experience. I will show you the key ingredients of making the dumping fillings and explain the secrets, also show you the cutting, and chopping techniques that would make difference in the taste. After we cook the dumplings, you enjoy your handmade Chinese dumplings with a big smile on your face! Other things to note: Make sure to let the host know in advance if you have any food allergies. Nova Maple Syrup Farm Tour

Have you ever wondered how maple syrup is made? Our tour will show you the whole process from tap to table! We start by looking at an individual maple tree, explaining the tapping process and how sap travels to the sugar shack to be boiled into syrup. See tubes, tanks, pumps, reverse osmosis, and our 6x18’ evaporator, learning fun facts about sap and syrup. We explain how our other products are made, such as maple sugar, cream, and candy. We’ll answer questions along the way, sampling various products, all of which are available for purchase at the end of the tour.
