Scott School Cottage Stay at Scott School

Scott School was a Campbell County one-room school from 1905 to 1928. In 2010, Scott School was renovated and serves as a lovely tea room and quiet location for guests. The cottage is complete with two bedrooms (one twin, one full), central HVAC, full kitchen, and televisions. Points of interest nearby are: Red Hill-last home and burial place of Patrick Henry (5 miles), University of Lynchburg (30 miles), Liberty University (25 miles), Randolph College (30 miles), and Appomattox (22 miles).

Wineries, orchards, and hiking nearby. Friendly dogs may occasionally visit from my mother’s house next door. (Look for Wind Tides Farm sign). ***If booking in winter months, keep in mind the wind tends to be heavy, depending on weather.***

This downtown Lynchburg warehouse used to be the Craddock Terry’s main office. This loft has the original vault in it (locked for your safety)! We kept the lofts as open as possible to maintain the integrity of the building, so there is a bedroom area but it doesn’t have wall/a door. Located just a short walk from downtown Lynchburg and all it's shopping, dining options, and walking trails, or take a short drive to Universities, historic sites, and the lush Virginia countryside. In just about an hour you can be at Smith Mountain Lake, driving the Blue Ridge Mountains, touring wineries and distilleries, or standing in the room where the Civil War was ended.
