This property is not for the bougie. Rustic, sun filled cottage retreat with gorgeous views of meadow and state park trails. The private separate bath house has a shower with amazing water pressure. The private soaking tub is located steps from your bedroom. There is nothing like a soak under the stars! No fancy updates but this is a beautiful slice of true Topanga. Best for the young who want an authentic “Topanga” experience. The main hiking trail is at your back door. Parking for 1 car

(Feb 2025- The Topanga village and homes were spared from the Palisades fire) Welcome to Orchard House Retreat! This 700 sqft private house is in an ancient oak forest in Topanga Canyon near Topanga State Park, the village and the beach! It’s a charming 1 bedroom 1 bath with a cozy living/dining space, modern kitchen and a deck. There’s a well stocked kitchen and orchard. Please note there are two sets of stairs up to the Retreat so being able to climb stairs is necessary. Please see photos.

Beautiful updated house close to beach & downtown.

STVR permit # 2374 Hurst cottage is under a mile from both the beach and downtown. It is located on a super quiet residential street, but also a quick walk to a local park, cafes, restaurants, bookstore, and a market. Our cottage is intentionally designed to include (almost) everything you need with lots of small beautiful details. With the warm sunlight and the cool ocean breeze pouring in all at once, our family finds it a wonderful place to relax.
