Stables by the Vines

In 1856, an English stonemason, Thompson Priest, began mining slate in Mintaro. At the same time, he built a home with stables at the rear of his property. Over the intervening years, the stables fell into a desperate state, however, recently, the Stable has returned to life through a sensitive restoration and refurbishment. Set on the edge of Reillys Winery, the Stable is a 100m walk through the vines to the cellar door and further 20 metres to the renowned Magpie Stump Hotel.

Mintaro Cottage: Cypress Studio - 1 Bedroom

Nestled in the stunning Clare Valley wine region is a cosy stone cottage. Graced with views of the natural surroundings and carefully planned to provide guests with a private experience, Mintaro Cottage's Cyprus villa is a fabulous setting for escape and relaxation. Built in the early 1900's, this gracious comfortable house has a relaxed feel with generous rooms, high ceilings and modern amenities. It is filled with books, art, trashy novels, board games and spaces to play them or watch tv and lounge in front of the fire with a glass of local wine.

The Beach Shack is nestled halfway down Otago Rd, and your veranda opens straight out onto the sand! This original weatherboard beach shack will remind you of your childhood holidays, and has everything you will need for a relaxing holiday. We want our place to be somewhere you can relax and switch off - to help with this there is no tv at the shack. Have a great stay!
