Armadillo Cabin at "Encuentro"

Located on the slopes of the Poás Volcano this property is surrounded by trees that create a natural barrier and make you feel immersed in the bird songs and howling wind. Perfect to rest, meditate or charge your body with natural energy. The house sleeps up to four people, great for families and couples. Located at 4km from Poás Volcano National Park. It is close to a variety of restaurants, grocery stores, gas station and souvenir shops. From the SJO Airport, it's a 40-minute drive.

Hummingbird Nest

Oct 25: We have just completed a full remodel of this lovely house. It now has two bedrooms, full bath, kitchen, deck, and laundry room all on one level and with wide doors to make it wheelchair friendly. My mother built this as her retirement house. She wanted a cozy, comfortable, house with a beautiful view. Wood floors, fireplace with firewood provided for the chilly Monteverde nights, beautiful windows so that you are looking down on the tops of the trees in the river gorge.
