Tau Studio - Boutique Accommodation

Tau Studio is a boutique style chalet with a modern stylish decor and a hint of luxury. Everything is provided including top quality linen. It is very spacious but also has a lovely cosy, warm feel. Perfect for couples. It is based in the lovely quiet village of Rangataua which is only a 5-minute drive to Ohakune township where there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops. The winter offers fantastic skiing and snowboarding, and summer offers lots of walks, mountain biking and fishing.

The Treehouse is set in grounds of our Villa in Raetihi in the Ruapehu region, it sits on stilts amongst the trees, with a walk way for ease of access. A warm well insulated room with comfortable king size bed, around the deck to the shower, toilet and out door bath. Enjoy a wonderful relax in the bath with bubbles and a choice of fairy lights or the vastness of a starlit sky. All linen provided. Gas hot water. All water is town supply. There is a cycleway directly outside, easy access to the 'Manawhero River' Walking Track and a 1 minute drive to either the centre of town or the base of Mount Ruapehu. Kosbys Cottage, Tongariro

Kosbys Cottage, Tongariro provides excellent value for money, offering ample space for families (children over 2 years old) or small groups of friends. A snug retreat during winter, thanks to a very efficient wood-burner (there is no heat pump). The spacious couch is perfect for unwinding, while the well-equipped kitchen, resembling that of a caterer’s, includes an espresso machine and opens out onto a charming patio area with a barbecue, herb garden, and stunning vistas.

We are close to great views and family-friendly activities. 2 minutes walk to Old Coach Rd - Ohakune cycle track/walkway. Other cycle tracks nearby include Fisher Track, Bridge to Nowhere, Tramway Track and 42nd Traverse Mountain bike track. Bike hire available at Ohakune & National Park We are halfway between Whakapapa and Turoa skifields. 10minutes to Ohakune and 15 minutesNational Park Village. Visit Owhango ( 25 minutes ) for fishing, hunting and bush walks.

Enjoy the sunset from the front deck or the fully fenced outdoor area with BBQ, seating and loungers. Relax and enjoy the view of the mountain from the hot tub. The Mangawhero River and cycle way are a 1 minute walk.
