Cozy Cottage, Hadshi

In the scenic Kolvan valley, ( Tal. Mulshi ) this Eco-friendly cottage stays cool even in hot weather. Its brick n wood feature should take you further close to nature. It's inspired by the great architect Laurie Baker. It's on ~8,000 sft plot and has 900 sft construction, rest is for native trees and garden. You’ll love this place because of the views, location and the serenity it has to offer. The cottage is in a gated community of weekend homes. Security person is there all the time. Cottage + garden and open area for about 7000 sq ft. This includes a Gazebo that overlooks the lake across the street, of about 170 sft. This entire cottage and plot is accessible to the guest. Cottage has following areas - 1 Bed, 1 bathroom, 1 basin and 1 toilet. Hot water is available through gas geyser. Kitchen - Well equipped with cooking stove and gas, tea/coffee powder and sugar/oil + utensils and cutlery, has refrigerator and drinking water can with dispenser. Dining room - Sits 4 persons at a time, gives lakeview while eating. Has candle stands, so if you plan a candle light dinner, you can bring your favourite aromatic candles. Living room - Alongwith dining room this is multipurpose area of 275 sq.ft. If you need more space dining table and chairs can be moved and other furniture rearrange to create more space. Extra guests ( after 2 ) can sleep here as we have 4 extra mattresses and bedding sets. It has got a ceiling fan and a pedestal fan. Bedroom - Has a closet for clothes, has few hangers and mainly stores the mattresses and bedding sets. It has a small shelf with books, emergency lights and first-aid box. Has also got a dressing table with a large mirror, a drawer and basic things like powder/comb etc. We've straw carpets ( thin ) that are convenient to quickly put up on the floor for sitting. A queen size double bed with side tables and a night lamp. bedroom has a ceiling fan. Rear sitout area - When you passthru the isle from toilet area through the back door of the cottage, there is a nice little sitout area on the backside. This space can be used to play Dart game as well. There is a hook on the wall in this area to hang the dart board. Wooden deck - Opening up from the dining area is a wooden deck that offers beautiful views of the mountains and the lake in front. That's also a nice place to bathe in rays of the warm sun while you sip your morning tea. Porch - At the entrance of the cottage, it's facing the garden and also offers views of the lake and a Cane swing ( single person ) is attached to ceiling in the porch to relax, maybe take a book to read and enjoy the views. Parking is at the entrance for 1 car + 2 bikes. More cars can be parked on the driveway. 2 bicycles are also kept here for you to ride. Keys of the bicycles are with the attendant. Entire space is available to guests, so feel free to explore just take care of the garden and Please don't pluck flowers or fruits from he trees. Since it's a gated community of weekend homes, inside streets also have plantation on the sides and the area is accessible for the guests to take a walk or take bicycle rides. Care needs to be taken not to disturb neighbours. Our attendant will help you show the place, give keys and you need to return keys to him. There is a security guard for the premises. Food options : Nice and homely kind of native style food is available and can be delivered to the cottage. Contact details of the person providing food will be given. We recommend this option although there are other options available if you can visit the restaurant and prefer eating there or carry parcel. Meal charges are separate. The location is at the heart of nature ( Kolvan Valley ) where mountains are all around and in between is a lake. It's quiet and hence idea to relax and be with family. Other places of interest nearby - - Tikona fort, 3 km : Nice Trek ! Takes about 45 minutes to get to the top of the fort. There is an old Shiv mandir on top and offers breathtaking 360 degrees view of the area. - Pavna dam, 8 km : Pavna backwaters offer spectacular views too. If open, boating in Pavna is unbeatable. - Tungi/Lohgad Fort, 15 km : Attractions for trekkers. - Shri Kshetra Pandurang, 5 km : This temple on top of a hill is situated on an area of about 300 acres. Road is nice and car can take you right upto the temple. It's a Satya Sai Trust temple of Panduranga and Rukmini. Has a huge garden and offers nice sit-outs to enjoy views around. - Chinmaya Vibhooti, Kolvan, 4 km : Head quarters of Chinmaya mission is at Kolvan, called Chinmaya Vibhooti and devotees from all over the world visit this place. Ganesha temple at the top of the hill too offers spectacular views of the valley. Best option is to bring your own car. If not, then call a cab to get here. Radiowings taxi comes here from Pune. However, you can get here by bus as well. PMT buses to Javan, Pavnanagar, Tikona peth pass from this location and ask conductor to stop at Hadshi dam.

The Bungalow is a single storied structure with a Mangalore tile roof. It is situated away from the road in a green compound and is spacious and well ventilated. It has three bedrooms with AC and attached baths, a living room and a kitchen. The backyard has an outdoor badminton court. We strive to provide a relaxed and peaceful stay to our guests.
