There is a sleeping sofa and also a floor mattress (140 cm) in the open garret attic. There is a kitchenette with basic kitchen utilities, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, induction plate and a small oven. Everything is private, nature all around and space for exploring and hiking. You have the cabin to yourselves.

A unique and peaceful stay at a private house located next to the black sand beach with great views over Vestmannaeyjar and Eyjafjallajölkull volcano. Eco-friendly farm stay

Stay at our riverbank farm and enjoy the quiet, pristine nature all around. Take a walk up the river bank towards the famous volcano Hekla, enjoy the view of Eyjafjallajökull glacier, watch some of the many bird species that gather at the river, smell the wildflowers or take of your shoes and feel the black volcanic sand between your toes. At the farm we have Icelandic horses, Icelandic sheep, two dogs, chickens and the notorious cat Mía.

Lómatjörn

“House by the lake” Lovingly furnished, with a beautiful view of a lake, volcanoes and the Westman Islands. Here you can relax and listen to the birds chirping. There are many sights nearby and depending on the time of year you can even watch the Northern Lights from your bedroom while lying in bed. And enjoy breakfast in the morning at sunrise. The house has a double bed (160x200) and a pull-out sofa bed (90x200 or 160x200).

Inside our Tiny Cabins you will find 1x Double Bed (+ 1x Single Bed OR Sofa) + 1x Bathroom with a Shower + Table & 2x Chairs + Tea & Coffee Shelf! Located near your Cabin you will also find our Guesthouse - in case you’d like to have Kitchen Access.

We are 5 living on our property Anna and Siggi (husband and wife), Einar (our son) and Ingveldur, woeking as a lawyer in the town Hvolsvollur. We were farmers but we quit the year 2000 but still have 20 sheep just for fun. since 2016 we have been running a small accommodation with 11 studio. All our studios have a private bathroom and a kitchenette. We provide coffee, tea, oil, salt, pepper and sugar
