Take it easy at this unique, tranquil and romantic getaway. A small and cozy private cottage (23 fm3) located about 4 km away from the town Hella down by the river Hróarslækur. There is a sleeping sofa and also a floor mattress (140 cm) in the open garret attic. There is a kitchenette with basic kitchen utilities, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, induction plate and a small oven. Everything is private, nature all around and space for exploring and hiking. You have the cabin to yourselves.

Then Hvílusteinn is perfect as a getaway from the city into the wilderness & as a base camp for South Iceland, within 100 km you have most of Iceland's popular gems! Airport about 170km away. It's nice to just enjoy the local nature and the northern lights in this remote and secluded area of the countryside with a private outdoor shower and shared indoor shower and a sauna. Austurey lakefront cottage

A peaceful cottage on a small hiltop with a great view overlooking lake Apavatn where there is much birdlife (you maight be able to see ducks, loons or swans from the patio). The house is stylish and newly renovated. There are two spacious bedrooms plus a sleeping sofa. The view from the hut tub is amazing. The cottage is close to the nearest town (7 km) and to many of Iceland´s best known tourist attractions so it is a good base for exploring. Reg. HG-00017228

Our family cabin is cozy with a wonderful lake view over Apavatn and surrounding mountains. The location is peaceful and quiet as the cabin is surrounded with trees and is an ideal place to observe northern lights. Great location as the cabin is nearby any attractions in the Golden circle (Gullfoss, Geysir and Thingvellir) as well as the South coast.
