Josie and Neil welcome you to Hetherington Downs, their quiet 42 acre North Waikato rural property, set well away from the road & with magnificent views over Lake Waahi and beyond It is a 10m x 3m self contained Compac cabin with a 10m x 3m deck Wifi has only recently been connected to the cabin There is no TV It is most suitable for a couple, but also has a pull out sofa bed (& folding mattress) for your use if required The cabin was new in June 2017 and has now been set up for Airbnb guests

In Pukekohe, there is a range of restaurants, shopping, markets as well as racing 20 mins STH at Hampton Downs No visitors not accounted for on the booking will be admitted to the property. Karearea Cottage is on 4 acres with a horse and pony next to the cottage. We are central to the Waikato, minutes from the Waikato Expressway/SH1 - approx. an hours drive to Auckland, west coast surfing/fishing beaches like Raglan, 90 mins to east coast Coromandel's world renowned beautiful beaches, a short drive to Hakarimata bushwalks with 800 year old Kauri, Golf Course, Hot Pools, Huntly Speedway, 20 minutes to Hamilton, Hampton Downs Raceway, and lovely cafe's a short drive.

Nestled at the foot of the Hakarimata range, the cabin is completely private and separate from the hosts residence. It is the perfect retreat, a place to break up your journey or as a base for the many tourist, cycling or walking activities the Waikato has to offer. The cabin has a queen-sized bed with ensuite. The kitchenette has gas hobs with small fridge, kettle, toaster, and all basic utensils. Milk, tea and coffee are included. There’s wifi and a TV with Chromecast.

Our Airbnb is a small self-contained guest house away from the main family home. It has its own ensuite bathroom, sun deck, TV, free WiFi, tea and coffee facilities, bar fridge and microwave. It overlooks the rolling hills of Waikato and you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset from your own deck. It is located in the rural area of Pokeno south of Auckland. It’s conveniently close to SH1 and SH2, but far enough to not hear any traffic.
