Set in the heart of the Daniel Boone National Forest the Arthur Lakes Log Cabin is both easy to get to and relatively secluded. Nestled in a small valley, this quaint cabin is a perfect mountain getaway. Built in 1890, by the Lakes family, it has a romantic, rustic and nostalgic feel. If you are a history buff, interested in Appalachian culture, or just want a charming, outdoorsy and secluded getaway, this cabin is for you. Called “Slipper Rock” in memory of Bessie Lakes, an elderly lady that lived on farm many years ago. She could be heard laughing while playing in the stream that runs by the cabin. She called the stream “Slipper Rock”. The newly built cabin sits on 15 acres. Numerous hiking trails & horseback riding trails. Some trails in Daniel Boone National Forest. Bring your own horses. Beautiful cabin, creek, woods, horse farm.

Bella Vista sits on 175 acres of pasture, woods, trails and a beautiful creek in the Red Lick Valley. Once a large-scale horse farm we currently have only four pasture puffs who you will see grazing around the cabin. Enjoy beautiful sunsets, walk the creek looking for Kentucky agates, geodes, explore the trails, or just take solace in the peace and quiet of the cabin. We bought the farm in 2020 and are in the process of bringing it back to its glory days.
