The Writer's Cottage

The Writer's Cottage is a tiny white house on a country road; vintage, complete, and inspiring. Built in the nineteenth century, it's perfect for a solo traveler or a pair of travelers exploring the Berkshires and the Hudson Valley. If you like rustic buildings, you'll be a fan of the cottage; it's an incredibly cozy time warp. Queen bed and living quarters downstairs; airy loft up a narrow set of enclosed stairs. There's an orchard and lawn with grill, hammock and ironwork table.

Hike, jog or bike the scenic Empire State Hudson Albany Rail Trail, just steps away. Kayak or fish; enjoy a BBQ and late night chats around the firepit, or enjoy a magnificent sunset from the three season room. If you're lucky you'll catch a glimpse of resident Swan & Bald Eagles on the lake!

Nestled on a private peninsula with a sandy shoreline, this pet-friendly retreat offers everything you need for a cozy weekend or extended stay. Please note: Screens previously shown on the patio have been removed to maintain a pet-friendly environment. The space remains perfect for morning coffee or sunset drinks.

Lake House in Averill Park, NY (age 30+ excl kids)

Our lake house is on Glass Lake in Averill Park, NY. In case you want to venture off, it is close to Saratoga (race season!), the Berkshires MA, Albany NY, and Vermont. Incredibly private with spacious property. Our lake house is great for families with kids and couples, and handicap accessible. It is great for any season (leaves, skiing, fishing, swimming). Kayaks, row boat.....and the lake!! Age requirement of at least 30 years old for guests (except kids).

Cozy Retreat in the Trees

Time travel to 1958 in this architectural gem! This mid-century modern glass and wood cabin is 300 yards away from a charming small lake. The house is NOT on the lake itself, but it is surrounded by trees in a lovely secluded spot. The only heat is a wood stove... but there is a 4-person cedar barrel sauna in the woods that is electric. A classic 1952 Spartanette travel trailer serves as an extra bedroom. This is a true retreat for romance and adventure.

Calf's Lakeside Cottage

Comfy Cottage retreat is located on 2nd Burden Lake. Offering a charming two bedroom home set back from the road & nestled on a treed lot. Come rain or shine. The cottage has an enclosed porch and inviting patio with view of the 2nd Burden lake. (Note: cottage has lakeview only)Located just around the corner from Kay's pizza and water activities! Conveniently located to wedding events & dining at Old Daley Inn on Crooked Lake, June Farm, Troy, & more.

Lakefront escape w/ Breathtaking Bald Eagle Views

Wake up to bald eagles soaring past floor-to-ceiling windows in the lakefront great room. Relax by the fireplace or unwind in the cozy TV room. A spacious kitchen makes cooking easy. Upstairs: 4 bedrooms (2 king, 2 queen, all w/ desks) + 4 full baths (3 w/ showers, 1 w/ tub). Enjoy fast Wi-Fi, seasonal lake access, dock, and deck.
