The Captain’s Cabin

Nestled in our citrus and nut orchard is the 'Captain's Cabin'. A hideaway in your own private section of the garden, with an amazing outdoor bath, ample cooking facilities inside and out, and fire pit, not to mention a comfortable queen bed with natural linen and towels, it's your base for the perfect Kangaroo Valley escape. The comfortable one bedroom cottage is located on our 450 acre working cattle property. We are close to the seaside towns of Shellharbour and Kiama. You can enjoy the beaches and then come home and just sit and gaze at the views of the farm. We have many animals for you to get close to if you desire and an abundance of bird life on the property. The cottage has a comfortable veranda for you to relax and watch the horses and cattle graze. A country experience just 2 hrs drive from Sydney.

Eco Cabin on beautiful farm close to beaches

Ooaree Farm Cabin is on a beautiful 140 acre farm in Rose Valley. Best suited to couples. The main bed is a king size mattress on a mezzanine level with steep stairs. The sofa turns into a queen size bed. The toilet is a modern composting toilet which does not smell if used correctly. 10 min to beaches, Gerringong and Kiama. It is a working farm and cows may be on the driveway and around the cabin. The drive way is 800 m and unsealed. No wifi, TV and phone reception is patchy.

While 'house' might be a stretch for this cosy studio-style room, it does have separate facilities. There's a separate "kitchenette", shower and toilet. IT HAS ONE KING SIZE BED and ONE SOFABED. The sofabed is charged at an additional $20/night. The Little House has everything you need for a short stay in The Highlands! * The property welcomes gentle, well socialised pups. The Little House backyard is also shared by my super friendly dog and ewe!

This is a comfortable self-contained studio, formerly an actual artist's studio, underneath the main residence, with its own shower and toilet, as well as a kitchenette. It has a queen bed, a king single that doubles as a sofa, and a single trundle bed. It has a small dining table and four chairs. It now boasts a camping washing machine for light loads, and an airer, as well as a dehumidifier. I also added an air fryer!

The Little House

The Little House is a freestanding 1940’s wooden tiny house in our back garden. It has a private exterior bathroom located at the back of the main house. Our property was featured on the ABC program Escape From The City and is a uniquely cute piece of North Nowra history. The Little House has a private verandah and kitchenette. A complimentary light breakfast is included for short stays. There is also a fire pit.
