Rookery Nook is a cosy and picturesque b&b nestled in the middle of one of Surrey’s prettiest villages in the heart of the Surrey Hills. It's a 600 year old listed building and your suite comprises one large double room with a private bathroom and TV lounge and features wonky floorboards, creaky doors, ticking clocks, crackly fires and everything that makes a country B&B weekend so special. Should you want to stay with friends or family another large double room can be made available.
空間 Built in 1485, 7 years before Columbus discovered America, Rookery Nook is a 16th Century listed building situated twixt pub and parish church in the quiet village square. Shere has been the setting for many a Hollywood blockbuster such as the Holiday, Bridget Jones, Edge of Reason, as well as numerous TV shows such as Silent Witness and Foyle's War. We have two excellent pubs and a top class restaurant all within a minute or two's walk of Rookery Nook. Chris and Jill are both regular walkers and cyclists and can advise on walks and rides and provide detailed directions and maps so you can't get lost! Due to uneven floors and several steps it is unsuitable for guests with mobility issues and families with toddlers.
There are three great places to eat in the village, two pubs, a top class restaurant, a choice of coffee shops and the best ice cream shop north of Italy. Gift shops, clothes shops, antique shops and village museum means you'll never be short of things to do even when it's raining. There are epic walks and bike rides (both on road and off-road) straight from the doorstep. Horse riding in the Surrey Hills can also be arranged.
