Have it all! Terrific views of The Lake, decks, hot tub, views of the slopes, walk (10min) to the slopes of Heavenly, minutes from casinos, beaches, dining, etc.
I have very mixed feelings about our stay at this house. On the plus side: The owners were very responsive - any time I had a question they got right back with me. The location is great - views are amazing and it’s less than a 10-minute drive to town. The place is very spacio…
As I wrote in my review of Kristy, she was a great guest and great at communication. I felt so bad about the hot tub, which I write about below. Thanks for the feedback. I'm sorry about the TV, but the listing for the property does indicate that in large letters: "Your view continues even after dark, as you enjoy the brand new 80" television set with movies and other content via AppleTV, Netflix, BluRay, Amazon Prime (NOTE: THERE IS NO CABLE OR NETWORK TV, though there is "ESPN Live" via AppletTV!)" And there actually is some live content via the AppleTV "Apps". As to the spa, yes, that was a huge disappointment for me too, I felt so bad... As we were preparing the hot tub for Krity's stay the breaker kept flipping off. We replaced the breaker the next morning, but to no success. Then I was able to finagle a repairman to come out, same-day, to look at it but he said the heating element needed to be replaced (it's virtually a brand-new spa... only two years old). The manufacturer said they would cover the whole thing but the technician did not have the part and so the manufacturer would have to send it. We refunded Kristy a large part of her rental fee, apologized profusely, and offered them access to "The Ridge at Tahoe" timeshare if they wanted to use the pools/spa/tennis courts. I know that offering all that was little help for the disappointment of the spa being broken, but it was the best I could do. As I said, the spa is very new, and very kept up, but these things can sometimes happen. I felt/feel awful but am glad that Kristy was so gracious about the situation, and I think they were still able to make the most of their stay.
