Private garden cottage in the heart of Berkeley's Gilman District. Located well off the street. Designer decorated, good quality mattress, kitchenette & small new bathroom. There's a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The cottage is not set up for cooking. A short walk to Whole Foods, Biergarten, Funky Elephant, and others. Walk to bus and 1 mile to North Berkeley Bart. Permit #ZCSTR2017-0054

The cottage is attached to our garage behind our house. We recently remodel the cottage to accommodate guests. We added a small but efficient bath with shower. There is a kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave. The kitchen does not have an oven or cook top so it's not set up for cooking. Our guests have access to the garden in back and are welcome to use the table an chairs out there.

We don't have a big parking issue but ask to try to respect the spaces directly in front our closest neighbors. If available, park behind the white truck in front of our house. Try to avoid the spaces directly across the street from our house, especially if you plan to leave your car for a long period of time. DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CAR. We live in an urban environment so need to mindful car break-ins. NOTE: Street sweeping is FIRST FRIDAY of the month on the WEST side of the street and SECOND MONDAY of the month on the EAST (our) side of the street 12:30 - 3:30pm.

Our neighborhood is the new destination for people who love craft beer, great coffee (Philz), and food of all kinds. Getting around is easy, lots of public transit options and a great bike/walk path around the corner. Really close to Solano Ave., Ocean View and the Berkeley waterfront. There is easy access to the freeway. The North Berkeley Bart is about a mile from our home.

My husband and I have lived in Berkeley for over 25 years. We currently run our own Architecture and Interiors business. We enjoy traveling to visit our families in New York and Oklahoma. During the winter months we make frequent trips to the ski slopes. We love to hike and bike during the warmer months. The Bay Area has so much to offer and we are excited to have visitors come enjoy the area. We love staying in our Airbnb in Tulsa to be with family and friends. Tulsa is changing so much.
