Alfacar is 7 km near the capital. It has a 914 m. average altitude, submontane of the Alfaguara, part of the natural preserve Sierra de Huetor. Despite its superficial dryness, it is rich in water, which makes its springs being well-known (Fuente Grande).
In summer you have dry heat and for the attitude, it will refresh very well at night.
Ideal starting point to visit the lots of historic sites and all the sightseeing's, not only in Granada and its vicinity, also in cities like Cordoba or Ronda.
It is adequate for nature tourism, either active or contemplative, integrated in a rural environment, wonderful area for walks and sketching.
