Location, location, location. You can’t get any better. This place is close to transit and in the real heart of Montreal. We were never more than 30 minutes from anything and it was a quiet and safe neighbourhood. However, you are certainly staying in someone’s home. This is …
Thanks for your comment, Caitlyn. I just told the cleaning lady about the dust and cobwebs, she will be more careful next time, I'm sure. I'm surprised about the shower though because I have my shower there all the time and so does my girlfriend and many guests and we never had problems with the water. Talking about the feeling of the place, it's true that it's a living place. I want people to know it and that's why I put a note about that on the listing. More and more people buy apartments to turn them into impersonal places just to rent them on AirBnB and make money. This kills a lot of neighbourhoods in big cities because local people don't live in such places. For me the essence of AirBnB is to find local places where local people live, to feel the cities and the heart of neighbourhoods. But now many places look like hotel rooms with white walls, random boring decoration and nothing else. My place is certainly not like that and it's not bad to tell people more about it, you're right. My apartment is full of books, records and personal decoration I brought from all over the world. For me it doesn't mean it's a "bachelor pad" though, it's just a real living place, the one I love to live in and the one I like to share with people coming to visit. Still, I'm glad you had a great stay in Montreal. Take care!
