The Rockpool is a two minute walk down Bagdale into town to the bus and railway stations; the swing bridge and beyond to the piers, lighthouse and the beach.
You’ll love the cottage because of it's location and convenience, quietly tucked away in a traditional Whitby yard opposite the multi award winning Pannett Park.
It's a beautifully restored boutique bolt hole / beach hut finished in a contemporary coastal style with hidden depths in its design.....

Originally inspired by the coastal cottages of Runswick and Robin Hoods Bay, The Rockpools been a ten year labour of love and learning. Once a stable then a fishermans cottage it's now been beautifully re-imagined; re-designed, hand fitted and furnished to celebrate the best of the space and the place to an immaculate standard.

Its close enough to be in the town centre within a couple of minutes walk but secluded enough to feel quite private; safe and secure and just short distance away from the all the thriving hustle & bustle that makes Whitby unique. As a space its perfect for Birthdays; Anniversaries, Romantic Retreats, Mini & Study Breaks, Solo Quests, Babymoons....you get the picture (s). Hi I'm Ben and despite being short of hair I'm young (ish) in years and the designer; doer, keeper and custodian of The Rockpool & Coastguardian. In regards to Covid your health; hygiene and holiday happiness are always of the upmost important to me and in regard to local lockdowns I’ve no problem with issuing full refunds if that pertains to be the case here or wherever you are. Full weeks run Friday to Friday with Changeovers and Check in / out days being Mondays and Fridays as a general rule. The Rockpool is efficiently priced for three or four night midweek stays from Monday to Wednesday & Thursday and on the provision of booking three nights, weekends are all inclusive. Simply check in Friday at three and your welcome to simply leave at your leisure on the Sunday or check out latest 10am Monday morning - its entirely up to you.
Two night midweek stays are subject to Calendar availability & only available on request (unless they appear calendar otherwise) and for anything else pls just send a request.
For your comfort & cool all bedding & towels are 100% cotton from Christy's and toiletries from Gilchrist & Soames of London, Essential Elements Collection.
The Rockpool is a home away from home and not a hotel so guests are asked to please leave the cottage as best they found it; put used towels in the bath and just leave the bed.
