Welcome to the Historic University Townhouse. Built in 1902 and home to American novelist Thomas Pynchon in the early 1960's, this home is a piece of history remodeled for your comfortable enjoyment and close to absolutely everything including UW campus, dining, bars, and shopping.

This townhouse is the former residence of Thomas Pynchon in the early 1960's where he wrote the novel V. and other works. The space has been recently remodeled and is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and up to date. Sauna, new copper water pipes, insulation, fireplace, and windows makes it safe, cozy, and quiet.
Special amenities like a sauna, high speed internet and WiFi, off street parking, BBQ, outdoor eating/sitting area, laundry facilities, and a fireplace are included along with all the amenities you'd expect such as a fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher, dining area, and bathroom with basic toiletries.

Automated door locks allow you to check in 24 hours a day and enter with your phone or an access code so that you can get right into your home-away-from-home instantly without coordinating with a host. Remember to press the red button after you enter your door code. The entire two bedroom, one full bath townhouse is yours to enjoy. Please don't wear shoes on the carpet. The townhouse shares a wall with another townhouse. Downstairs is a shared laundry room that includes a sauna. One off street parking spot is available for you right in front of your front door and there are some small gardens with a BBQ and a porch for outside activities like BBQing. Please back into the parking spot. Additional pay-to-park spots are available in a lot a block away.

Our place is a short walk to the University of Washington campus and the University District commercial district which is filled with transportation, dining, and shopping options. There are activities galore right outside the door including all kinds of bars, movie houses, and music venues. Green Lake is about a mile or so away if you'd like to stroll in a beautiful park or get in a boat.
