I’m sorry you stay was disappointing. We offered to have Wintergreen Resort Services repair the loose toilet stopper, replace the lightbulb that was out, and to send our property manager (who is also our cleaning lady) to address the issues immediately but understand you declined. We strive to make the experience excellent for everyone and would be happy to offer an even greater discount (than the $125 a night we provided) if you would like to return. Addressing the specific concerns: - Pictures not updated. Thank you for that reminder. We had removed the description of the electric grill but it was still in one of the pictures. Unfortunately a guest’s dog chewed through the cord last month. As to the furniture, based on prior guest feedback that the couch with the ottoman wasn’t very comfortable, we just bought a new huge reclining couch. As three large sections of the couch recline, and because there are cup holders, there was no need for the old couch ottoman. The couch was delivered earlier this month and we had not updated the photo to show the upgraded furniture. We just did so this week. - Cleaning. Our property manager also cleans our unit (she worked at Wintergreen Resort cleaning for years and cleans many homes and condos on the mountain). She personally cleaned before your arrival and has always been excellent. I’ve spoken with her and she said she cleaned mopped as she always does receiving high ratings for all of her units (including ours) for years. We did find the one light bulb that had burned out and replaced it. - The lockbox did not fall apart. When you enter the number and push “open” the front comes off. You follow the same procedures to close it. We appreciate you telling us you left the unit open after your departure so immediately visited and confirmed it is working properly. Nevertheless, you are the second guests in the last couple of years who was not familiar with the type of lockbox and had trouble. We have asked Resort Services to install one they’ve found all folks can easily operate. - Upstairs toilet stopper slow leaking. That is very frustrating. My sincere apologies. The last guest mentioned the stopper was sticking so we had maintenance out to replace it that week you arrived. I went to the condo after your departure, confirmed it was still sticking at times (annoyingly requiring wiggling the toilet handle to get it to stop) and just put in another work order. - As to nothing being open, there is a lot to do outdoors at Wintergreen and many nearby restaurants, wineries etc references in our guest book that are open. Monday and Tuesday rates are incredibly low (less than a hotel room for a 3/3 condo) because it is certainly quieter on those days. - Sorry again. I am glad our property manager was responsive as always, am disappointed you didn’t allow us to remedy the toilet noise, change the light bulb, and remedy any other issues immediately. However, I agree that there should be no issues when on a vacation. Please do reach out if there is anything else we can do to make it right.
