My apartment was recently renovated, it is very cute, calm and cozy. You will hear no noise besides the birds singing in the garden.
It is bright and well decorated, very comfortable... the only downside is you might lose your motivation to visit Paris and want to stay all day in the comforting shower, or the living room full of good books, or the bedroom with the comfy bed and the guitar, or the kitchen equipped with everything you need to cook a good meal...
If you get the motivation to go out, you will discover a very lively neighborhood with nice bars and very good food for small prices. You will be 10 minutes away from chatelet, the most central spot in the city. The Belleville metro station is right down the building, and République is a 10 minute walk.
You are close to the lovely canal Saint Martin, and I'll give you tips on whatever it is you're interested in - restaurants, fashion, swimming pools, cool stuff to do... count on me, I'm born and raised here and know the city very well :)
Let me know if you're interested!
It's cosmopolitan. It's one of the last authentic neighborhoods in Paris. It's very lively.
I love it!
