Just minutes from Tavares (known as the Seaplane City) and Mt. Dora (known as the City of Festivals.) You can bring your boat and keep it in the boat house. Large circular drive with plenty of parking for cars, trailers, etc.

This is a quite residential neighborhood. The cottage is located at the end of the street with the back of the house facing the east on beautiful Lake Dora. So you have spectacular sunrises in the morning having coffee on your lenai or dock and breath taking views of the moon rising over the water at nite. There is peace and quite and plenty of wildlife surrounding you. Step out the back door under the grand old Magnolia tree and enjoy the serenity of nature - with eagles, osprey, gators and many water fowl. If you love to fish, Tavares is known for incredible fishing and is hosts to many fishing tournaments during the year. There is a public boat ramp on the Dora Canal only 1/2 mile from the cottage. Lake Dora is part of the Harris Chain of Lakes. If you don't have a boat, just bring your pole and fish from the dock.

We love to have guests and live in the house next door. We have as much interaction with guest as they want. When time allows, we love to take our guests through the Dora Canal on our deck boat and share with them the beauty of the Dora Canal. Most people arrive as total strangers and leave as family.
