Casa Helechos B&B is a beautiful 19th century home with extraordinary spaces and a cozy atmosphere. Located in the Presa de la Olla district of Guanajuato City (15min away from downtown), it lies in a street with cafés, hotels, restaurants and close to the Florencio Antillón Park and the beautiful damm Presa de la Olla.

Casa Helechos B&B is a 19th century family house that has been adapted to host guests in private rooms with en-suite bathrooms and shared common spaces.
Its elegant light-filled bedrooms will make a very pleasant stay. There is a spacious dining room, the central living room and a reading/game room with its veranda overlooking the 600 square meter garden. The couple who live and work at the house will be happy to receive you and do their best to make your stay as pleasant as can be.
A full Mexican breakfast that consists of fruit, toast, scrambled eggs, house-tradition salsa and coffee will be served to guests every morning from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

Bedroom 1
The master bedroom (Bedroom 1) has a king size bed with a view of two large windows that overlook the Cerro de la Bufa mountain chain. There are two sitting chairs, a beautiful desk and a chest with drawers which set a relaxing and elegant atmosphere. The room has a small walk-in closet with space for guests to unpack and a spacious en-suite bathroom.
Bedroom 2
Bedroom 2 has two queen sized beds, a desk, a powder room with a light-filling window and its en-suite bathroom. The room is priced for two people but can host up to 2 extra guests for an extra charge of $350 pesos per night, each one. The bedroom is spacious and has a classic decor.
Bedroom 3
Bedroom 3 is a light-filled bedroom with a queen-size bed and two windows with balconies facing to the garden. There’s an armchair and a table with chairs that guests can enjoy. The room has a walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom.
Bedroom 4
Bedroom 4 has two single beds with a view of two windows with balconies that overlook the garden. The room has a dressing table, sofa, chairs, a large chest, and drawers for guests to unpack their belongings. There is an en-suite bathroom.

Casa Helechos B&B is located in the district of Presa de la Olla. The neighborhood was developed between the late 18th and early 19th centuries as an area where the wealthy who lived in downtown Guanajuato spent their weekends in beautiful homes. Funnily enough it is only 15 minutes away by foot from downtown Guanajuato.
Very near the house lies the Florencio Antillón park which consists of a beautiful typical Guanajuato style garden; and right next to it is the Presa de la Olla damm, both of which make a wonderful morning or afternoon promenades. There is a roman catholic church adjacent to the park.
The house next door to Casa Helechos B&B has a cute café, a pottery store and offers several workshops.
In the walk to downtown Guanajuato along Paseo de la Presa you will also find restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, pharmacies, a medical center and other hotels.
