Ground floor space with private entrance. We have two king rooms available, listed separately. Both have their own exterior entrances along with their own private (and amazing) bathrooms. They share a common deck area. Immaculately cared for and professionally designed.

Our home is thoughtfully furnished with pieces we have collected from our travels around the globe. We adore the Outer Banks and wish to share it with you!
Our high-end furnishings will insure a comfortable nights sleep on a 20" thick ultimate mattress along with fine linens. The hand knotted rug was found in Afghanistan and our sleek rosewood bedroom suite was made for us in India. Our massive art carving of the Tree of Life will surely inspire conversation. It is an antique carving handmade out of a single tree trunk.
This room is equipped with a Haiku fan on top of reclaimed teakwood planking. Plantation shutters on the windows offer complete privacy or pretty views of the tropical landscape.
We provide a Kerig Coffee Machine as well as a Mini Fridge. For your days on the beach we have two awesome back pack lounge chairs available along with beach towels and outdoor hooks to hang your salt-kissed wares.
After a long day at the beach, you can indulge in under the Hansgrohe rainshower in the travertine stone & beachglass tile shower.
We found our amazing Onyx sink during our travels in Indonesia. It sits on top of a 4" live edge tree plank. We love design and home furnishings (as you can see ;) and welcome you to enjoy our home!
The backyard should not be missed for a coffee or cocktail. The incredible tree canopy is cooling after a hot beach day. We love to landscape and surround ourselves with the beauty of the Outer Banks. There is a lovely deck overlooking a lawn with a hill and canal to Kitty Hawk Sound below. You can often spot Ospreys gliding along in the canal with an occasional Otter, Heron or Mallard duck!
5 minutes to Kill Devil Hills, NC
8 minutes to Nags Head, NC
15 minutes to Duck, NC
20-30 minutes to Corolla and Carova's Wild Horses
30 minutes to Manteo waterfront and Elizabethan Gardens

You will have full private access to your room via the exterior entrance. Two teak chairs are placed right outside your room along with cleat hooks to hang your sandy items and beach gear.
Please use the hose that the driveway to rinse off sandy toes and suits an leave coolers outside.
The top decks are private spaces.

We have a 7 month old very friendly puppy named Sophie. We do not allow her in our Airbnb rooms. We also live in the main house so you may hear some noise from us or our other Airbnb guest as we have two total Airbnb guest suites.

Our neighborhood is fabulous because we are are in a maritime forest under very unique tree canopy which brings coolness on the hottest of summer days. Surprisingly, we are only a short 1/2 mile walk to the beach or sound.
We are walking distance to some of the best restaurants in the area, including the famous Black Pelican, Hurricane Mo's, Barefoot Bernie's, Sanya's Sushi and La Fogota.
There is a sound side bike path and beach access with bathhouse only 1/2 mile walk from the house. For boaters or kayakers, there is a town boat ramp located about 2 miles away with access to Kitty Hawk Bay through a beautiful winding cut.
