For added peace of mind, we add a perimeter of diatomaceous earth for protection from a wandering ant or bug. 2 sleeping bags and will be provided with additional cushioning as well. Please ask about a full sized inflatable mattress that can be added for an extra charge.
*All 5 spaces on the property are about 40 yards, or more, apart with partial view blocking from other spaces to maintain your feeling of privacy :)
*FOLLOW the directions, map and the red triangle signs exactly! GPS often does NOT work accurately.
-Access the neighborhood from Highway 180, not Highway 64.
-From 180, turn South (right from Hwy 64, left from Flagstaff 180) between highway marker 264 and 263.
-There are red colored reflective triangle signs that will lead you to the property from there. DO NOT go down a dirt road if you do not see the sign.
-Please follow the signs, they will lead you down the roads in the best condition to your Nest :)
*Parking is near the road in the front of the property.
*Dirt road conditions may be bumpy, drive slow and avoid any 'high centers'
I will be onsite most of the time, usually working on more buildings, but will be available for questions.
Here at Nest In Harmony location, we value natural living and alternative living styles and will be featuring different living structures. I lived and worked in the Grand Canyon National Park recently where I was a carpenter and tour guide and hosted many Couchsurfing guests from around the world. I may be able to answer some of your questions or give you resources to learn. I am friends with many locals from the Canyon and around the area and they may be visiting. We will be providing boiled free range eggs, organic oats, and a piece of fruit along with 'cowboy' coffee made in a percolator or tea. An older dog of Great Dane/Black Lab mix will be on the property. His name is Smokey and he is very friendly, even with other dogs. Please do not feed Smokey, even if he gives you the sweetheart look :) Please ask in advance about our locally made free range beef and bean chili dinner option, offered for an extra charge.
Please feel free to use the community area at your own free will. We are setup to be self sufficient, so if you use dishes, please rinse them afterward and have them ready for others guests. :) If you use the shower, please turn the main water valve OFF after use to conserve water. Please don't wear shoes in the tipi, they can be left on the outside mat or inside mat.
Guests are responsible for their own belongings, children, and pets.
Please be quiet at night when arriving and especially after 10 p.m. to be considerate of others:)
