House, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

Located between Shell Beach and Stengel Beach on the west side of Highway 1, this lovely two-bedroom Sea Ranch getaway offers ocean views, two master bedrooms, and classic Sea Ranch architecture with cedar walls and an open floorplan.

You'll be situated near the Bluff Trail at this meadow home. Ocean views can be enjoyed from all rooms except the loft and kitchen, which provide peaceful meadow views. The Sea Ranch Lodge is about five miles south and the green of the Sea Ranch Golf Links is a four-mile drive north.

Walk inside to a two-story living room that includes a loft. There's a sunken inglenook with stone fireplace and a sheltered oceanview deck that includes a built-in table and benches for outdoor dining. For your entertainment needs, you'll have two flatscreen HDTVs, a DVD player, two Apple TVs, and 150-channel DIRECTV service. There is also high-speed WiFi.

The loft is ideal for the kids with its own TV, games, and space to play. There's a queen mattress as well for extra sleeping space.

When it's mealtime, the kitchen is well-equipped with all major appliances, including a couple of different coffeemakers (with an espresso maker and grinder) and other gadgets like a blender and toaster. Just pick up some groceries at the nearby Surf Market in Gualala and fix up a feast!

At night, you'll have two master suites to choose from. One bedroom is on the main level and includes a window seat boasting lovely ocean views, deck access, and a queen bed. Upstairs, there's another equally spacious master bedroom with a queen bed, high wood cathedral ceilings, and an even more dramatic view. Both master suites have full bathrooms. This home sleeps up to four guests very comfortably.

The two-car garage has new industrial lighting and a very large built-in wood plank table, perfect for any creative or work projects. Other amenities include a private washer/dryer and a Weber grill.

Ideal for a couples' getaway, small families, or even a romantic long weekend for two, The Glass House provides a wonderful location to explore and relax on the picturesque Sonoma Coast. Head to Annapolis Winery (11 miles southeast) for winetasting or plan a whole day trip and drive north to Fort Bragg to walk on the Glass Beach (64 miles) and then a late lunch in Mendocino.

Sea Ranch also offers three rec centers with pools, tennis, and saunas, as well as miles and miles of walking/biking trails. Stroll along the Monarch Glen Interpretive Trail or wander down to Shell Beach to enjoy the perfect sunset.

Whether you plan on relaxing on the sheltered deck, snuggling in front of the fire, or jogging on the Bluff Trail, this Sea Ranch vacation home offers plenty of amenities, views, and tranquility!

Sea Ranch is enchanting. This home is very much a part of that magical vibe. Has a perfect set up for 2 small boys who 'loved' in the loft and were stoked to have their own private floor. Deck was gorgeous and we had wild turkeys and deer visit. The house was fairly dated, which is ok given the setting, everything worked ok apart from the dishwasher. We found the need to go through the local management company onerous and kind of stripped the magic from both Airbnb and from sea ranch, both magical unique experiences of their own. Vacasa imposed a series of generic property-management like requirements, such as requirement to check into a separate Trip Portal, requirement to go pick up a separate check in package at a different location during working hours (the reason for this was never explained).

This is a cozy but not cramped Sea Ranch style house perched on the coastal plain above the rugged California coastline. There is a picture in the house revealing that this house looks to have been one of the original Sea Ranch community dwellings. It is very peaceful and quiet, with amazing views (especially from the master bedroom). The guest passes provide access to a fabulous pool/rec center (we only explored one of the three). The hiking trails throughout the community afford access to the beaches and tide pools and meander along the cliff edges. It is common to see deer munching grass 25 feet away, seemingly unconcerned. Gualala is about 8 minutes north on Hwy 1, so not too far away to grab groceries or a bite to eat. The kitchen is adequate and the beds top notch. All in all a pleasant tranquil stay.

Wonderfully welcoming house, well maintained, with nice ocean views from the 2 master bedrooms and the living room, and from the deck. Cleanliness was irreproachable, kitchen well furnished, and, unlike houses closer to the bluff and their trails, privacy was complete. Will definitely consider returning.
